Refunds
- A Centre Of Light (UK) Ltd offers a 14-day refund period for course purchases, provided that no digital course materials, videos, audio lessons, handouts or online content have been accessed, downloaded or viewed. Once any part of the course has been accessed, the refund period ends immediately, in accordance with UK digital content regulations and the Consumer Rights Act 2015.
- A Centre Of Light (UK) Ltd provides all training and services with reasonable care and skill, in accordance with the Consumer Rights Act 2015. If a course or service is not delivered as described, students may be entitled to a remedy under UK consumer law.
- Where A Centre Of Light (UK) Ltd has to cancel a consultation, event, workshop or course, fees will be refunded in full.
- Courses and workshops run with a minimum number of participants. If this minimum number is not reached, A Centre Of Light (UK) Ltd reserves the right to cancel the event. All fees will be refunded in full.
- All A Centre Of Light (UK) Ltd consultations and demonstrations are provided for educational and entertainment purposes only.
- A Centre Of Light (UK) Ltd may remove a student from any course, workshop or event if their behaviour constitutes harassment, abuse, disruption, or a breach of Company policies. Where removal is necessary for the safety and wellbeing of others, the student may forfeit their place and associated fees, in accordance with the Consumer Rights Act 2015 and the Company’s safeguarding obligations.
- Refunds are not issued for non-attendance, partial attendance, dissatisfaction with course presentation, or personal circumstances preventing participation, as these do not constitute grounds for refund under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.
- A Centre Of Light (UK) Ltd reserves the right to alter the structural content, defer, reschedule or change the tutor of any course, workshop, event or activity if circumstances demand.
- A Centre Of Light (UK) Ltd reserves the right to preclude a student from joining a course they have enrolled for if the student has missed the first two or three classes in succession.
- A Centre Of Light (UK) Ltd reserves the right to ask a student to leave a class, workshop, lecture, demonstration, clinic or other event and rescind membership at its discretion.
- A Centre Of Light (UK) Ltd reserves the right to refuse admittance or remove any person intending to, or already attending, a talk, course, workshop, consultation or outside event if, in the tutor’s judgement, the person is unsuitable to continue and it would not be in the best interest of other participants for them to remain.
Online Platforms & Live Sessions – Terms of Participation
Applicable to all online platforms including, but not limited to, video-conferencing software, livestream platforms, and online learning environments.
- A Centre of Light (UK) Ltd is not responsible for power outages, internet issues, equipment failures, or time-zone misunderstandings at the participant’s end. Where reasonable and at our discretion, we will provide access to the relevant lesson material for any missed session.
- A Centre of Light (UK) Ltd operates a strict zero-tolerance policy towards physical, verbal, or written abuse directed at tutors, students, facilitators, staff, or any member of the learning community. Breaches may result in immediate removal from the session and/or course without refund.
- Participants are strictly prohibited from recording, filming, photographing, copying, or capturing audio/visual content from any class, session, or online platform.
- Live sessions may be recorded by A Centre of Light (UK) Ltd only. By enrolling, you consent to the recording of audio, video, chat interactions, shared screens, and course materials for safeguarding, internal quality assurance, and educational review.
- All recordings and learning materials remain the exclusive copyright of A Centre of Light (UK) Ltd and may not be copied, shared, distributed, or used for public or commercial purposes without our prior written permission. Unauthorised use constitutes a breach of Copyright Law and may also be a breach of GDPR.
- By enrolling, you acknowledge that completed assignments, journalling tasks, or coursework may be used in anonymised form in future educational or promotional materials. Participants may withdraw consent at any time by contacting A Centre of Light (UK) Ltd in writing.
Media Release
By enrolling on any A Centre of Light (UK) Ltd course either online or in-person, you grant permission for A Centre of Light (UK) Ltd to use your image, photographs, video, voice, artwork, written work, and any incidental appearance within course recordings or session participation. This material may be used in media and educational publications including videos, websites, newsletters, emails, promotional materials and A Centre of Light (UK) Ltd affiliated platforms.
You waive the right to inspect or approve final materials and waive entitlement to royalties or any form of financial compensation.
You may withdraw your consent at any time, and A Centre of Light (UK) Ltd will stop using future materials containing your identifiable information.
You agree not to copy, reproduce, distribute, publish, modify, display, perform, modify, create derivative works from, or commercially use any course content, recordings, transmit, or in any way exploit any such content nor may you distribute a part of this content over any network, sell or offer for sale, or use such content to construct any kind of database of any media publications, owned by A Centre of Light (UK) Ltd without prior written permission.
Health & Safety Policy
A Centre of Light (UK) Ltd is committed to providing services with reasonable care and to ensure, so far as is reasonably practicable, the health, safety and welfare of individuals who attend our in-person or online activities.
We take reasonable steps to ensure that our services, events and working environments are safe and suitable for their intended purpose. Individuals are expected to act responsibly and follow any safety guidance provided.
A Centre of Light (UK) Ltd holds the appropriate insurance required for the delivery of its services, including cover for in-person workshops, events, and professional activities where applicable.
For any in-person sessions or events:
- Participants are responsible for notifying us of any relevant medical conditions or accessibility requirements.
- Individuals must follow venue instructions, health and safety signage, and any guidance provided by staff.
- Emergency procedures will be directed by venue staff or emergency services.
For online courses or sessions:
- A Centre of Light (UK) Ltd cannot provide emergency medical assistance. Participants are responsible for ensuring they are in a safe and appropriate environment to take part.
- Individuals must take reasonable precautions to avoid discomfort or injury (e.g. ensuring adequate seating, hydration, posture, and breaks).
Student Committements
At A Centre of Light (UK) Ltd, everyone from contracted tutors, colleagues and students, agree to abide by our non-disclosure agreements.
NON-DISCLOSURE AGREEMENT:
This agreement is made for A Centre of Light (UK) Ltd both online, digital and in-person between student (you) and A Centre of Light (UK) Ltd.
This Agreement shall govern the conditions of disclosure by A Centre of Light (UK) Ltd and The Student of certain Confidential Information, including but not limited to course material, trade secrets and intellectual property relating to A Centre of Light (UK) Ltd.
The Student hereby agrees that:
The Student shall not disclose any business or personal information given verbally or in written form during the course of study, including but not excluded to, cost information, accounting and unpublished financial information, business plans, customer lists and customer information, purchasing techniques, supplier lists and supplier information and marketing, production or merchandising systems or plans, information relating to persons including A Centre of Light (UK) Ltd, A Centre of Light (UK) Ltd staff or any other persons mentioned or alluded to during the course.
The student shall not directly or indirectly acquire any interest in, or design, create, manufacture, sell, teach or otherwise deal with any item or product, containing, based upon or derived from the information, except as may be expressly agreed to in writing by A Centre of Light (UK) Ltd.
A Centre of Light (UK) Ltd will be entitled to obtain an injunction to prevent threatened or continued violation of this Agreement, but failure to enforce this agreement will not be deemed a waiver of this Agreement.
STUDENT PLEDGE
This agreement is made for A Centre of Light (UK) Ltd both online, digital, and in-person between student (you) and A Centre of Light (UK) Ltd.
This Agreement shall govern the conditions of disclosure by A Centre of Light (UK) Ltd. The Student of certain Confidential Information, including but not limited to course material, trade secrets and intellectual property.
I understand that in taking an A Centre of Light (UK) Ltd educational course, I must take full responsibility for my course work and take ownership in my ability to undertake a course.
Age of Maturity: I understand A Centre of Light (UK) Ltd training courses are intended for adults, 18+ only. I understand that by purchasing, opting in, or participating in A Centre of Light (UK) Ltd educational courses, I am agreeing that I am 18 years or older and of a mature age to study the offered course.
Time Zones:
I understand that all communication about times and/or schedules via email, social media sites or online platforms are always UK Time zone (GMT and/or BST time) and not the time zone I reside and/or am traveling in.
Tech Pledge:
It is my sole responsibility to ensure I have access, use and familiarity with all forms of technology required for my successful participation in any A Centre of Light (UK) Ltd educational courses such as: Social Media Sites, Zoom, YouTube, Vimeo, Adobe Flash Player and other current software requirements.
Homework Assignment:
I understand that it is my responsibility to turn my homework in on a timely manner as directed. I understand that by not undertaking or submitting any required coursework I could fail to complete the course and I understand that A Centre of Light (UK) Ltd course tutor goal is to keep me on a timely path. Late homework exceptions are considered made for illness, emergencies, natural disasters, etc.
Homework completion is required for any certification courses and should be turned in via Messenger, Email using universal programs such as: Word, Google Docs etc or online platforms.
